TalkChingu Community Guidelines

Welcome to TalkChingu! Our mission is to connect people worldwide for meaningful conversations. To ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone, please follow these community guidelines.

🌍 What is TalkChingu?

TalkChingu ("Talk" + "Chingu" meaning "friend" in Korean) was created as a bridge between language learning and real-world practice.

We believe the best way to learn a language is to actually speak it with real people. If you've been studying languages with RepeatTube or other platforms, TalkChingu is your chance to put those skills into practice!

💡 Please Remember:

TalkChingu is designed for language practice and making friends — not for dating, hookups, or inappropriate content. Keep conversations respectful, educational, and friendly. This is a learning community, not a dating app.

1. Be Respectful

Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their background, nationality, gender, religion, or beliefs.

  • Be polite and courteous in all interactions
  • Respect cultural differences and diverse perspectives
  • If you don't want to talk to someone, simply click "Next" - don't be rude or offensive

2. No Nudity or Sexual Content

⛔ STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Any form of nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive behavior is absolutely forbidden and will result in immediate and permanent ban.

  • Keep your clothes on at all times
  • Do not make sexual gestures or comments
  • Do not ask others to engage in sexual or inappropriate behavior
  • Do not share sexual or adult content through screen sharing

3. No Harassment or Bullying

TalkChingu is a safe space. Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Do not insult, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Do not make offensive comments about someone's appearance, race, gender, or identity
  • Do not spam or repeatedly harass the same person
  • Do not use hateful or discriminatory language

4. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

We celebrate diversity and do not tolerate any form of hate speech or discrimination.

  • Do not promote hatred or violence against individuals or groups
  • Do not use slurs or derogatory language based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
  • Do not display symbols or gestures associated with hate groups

5. Protect Privacy

Respect the privacy of others and protect your own.

  • Do NOT record, screenshot, or capture video calls without explicit consent from the other person
  • Do not share other people's personal information (doxxing)
  • Do not ask for excessive personal information (full name, address, phone number, etc.)
  • Be cautious about sharing your own personal information

6. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use TalkChingu.

  • Do not impersonate someone of a different age
  • If you encounter someone who appears to be underage, skip them immediately and report if necessary
  • Parents/guardians should supervise minors using the service

7. No Illegal Activities

Do not use TalkChingu for any illegal purposes.

  • Do not promote or engage in illegal activities
  • Do not sell or promote drugs, weapons, or other illegal substances
  • Do not attempt to scam or defraud other users
  • Do not share pirated content or violate copyright laws

8. No Spam or Commercial Activity

TalkChingu is for personal conversations, not advertising or solicitation.

  • Do not use TalkChingu to advertise products or services
  • Do not spam links to external websites or social media
  • Do not ask for money or financial information

9. Be Yourself

Authenticity creates better connections.

  • Do not impersonate other people or celebrities
  • Do not use misleading information about your gender, age, or location
  • Be honest in your conversations

10. Report Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting inappropriate behavior.

  • If you encounter inappropriate behavior, click "Next" and move on
  • For serious violations (nudity, harassment, illegal activity), report the user immediately
  • Do not engage with or respond to inappropriate users - simply skip and report

⚠️ Consequences of Violations

Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:

  • First violation: Warning and temporary suspension
  • Repeated violations: Permanent ban from TalkChingu
  • Serious violations: Immediate permanent ban and possible reporting to law enforcement authorities

We have zero tolerance for nudity, sexual content, child safety violations, and harassment.

  • Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, click "Next"
  • Never share personal information like your full name, address, or phone number
  • Use TalkChingu in a well-lit area where others can see your screen
  • Parents: Monitor your children's use of video chat services
  • Remember: conversations are not recorded, but you should still be cautious
  • If you feel threatened or uncomfortable, exit immediately and report
